Members of organized group trafficking illegal migrants from Central Asia receive notice of suspicion

Due to SBU intelligence, the members of an organized group engaged in trafficking of illegal migrants from the Central Asia to Ukraine received a notice of suspicion.

SBU operatives established that four residents of Luhansk region and several Russian citizens organized trafficking of migrants into Ukraine though Russia for USD 700 per each person. People crossed the Ukrainian border avoiding the checkpoints. 

Law enforcement stopped such activity in January, 2020. SBU detained two offenders and four migrants.

Currently, all participants in the illegal scheme are identified. They received a notice of suspicion for illegal movement of persons across the state border of Ukraine committed by an organized group.

Operation was conducted under the legal supervision of the Prosecutor’s Office of Luhansk region.
