SBU investigates Eurolab case
SBU Main Investigative Department investigates criminal proceedings upon the fact of presumably criminal actions of the Eurolab PJSC employees, i.e. spreading COVID-19 pandemic and causing harm to Ukrainian people’s health. Allegedly, Eurolab employees knowingly did not inform corresponding state authorities that particular individuals had positive results for coronavirus tests.
To establish all the circumstances of the case, the law enforcement conducted searches of the Eurolab offices and seized documents and information, crucial for the investigation. The searches were authorized by the corresponding court decision and were carried out on April 1st, 2020.
After processing the documents by the specialists from the Ministry of Health of Ukraine, the procedural decision in the criminal proceedings will be taken. The pre-trial investigation is ongoing, all the necessary legal actions are being taken.
SBU emphasizes that particular attention will be paid to any illegal actions, connected with spreading of coronavirus in Ukraine. For the time being, this is the national security issue.
We also consider it unacceptable that some individuals take actions that can cause harm to people’s health and lives, try to avoid criminal prosecution and explain the situation by political reasons.
