SBU investigation helps to prosecute “LNR” leaders for concealing Covid-19 cases (video)
The Prosecutor’s Offices of Donetsk and Luhansk regions initiated proceeding for concealing the data on Covid-19 infections on temporarily occupied territory by the leaders of the so-called LNR according to the SBU investigation. Their acts are qualified as violations of laws and customs of the war.
SBU officers established that occupation authorities order to conceal and falsify the data about spread of the virus among the residents of the temporarily occupied territory of Luhansk region.
Via media the leaders of the so-called “LNR” are trying to assure local residents that there are no cases of coronavirus infection. At the same time they hide the number of patients with fever in infectious disease sections.
The locals report on increase in deaths of the patients with diagnosed SARS and total lack of facemasks and anti-viral medications.
According to the intelligence, 13 people with COVID-19 symptoms have died in Luhansk and Kadiyivka. The local residents are not informed about the current situation, so they are exposed to death threat.
Circa 10,000 of people on temporarily occupied territory have SARS. The majority of them does not receive adequate medical care and stays at home because of lack of beds in hospitals. At the same time, the Russian occupation authorities in Donetsk and Luhansk regions focused on protecting military forces under their control.
SBU incriminates to the so-called leaders violation of the rights of the citizens on temporarily occupied territory of Luhansk region. The prosecution qualified their intended acts under Part 1 Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
The SBU Main Directorate in Donetsk and Luhansk regions conducts pre-trial investigation.
