The Security Service of Ukraine has exposed in Dnipropetrovsk region the head of an agricultural company on misappropriation of over UAH 11,000,000 (USD 407,408) of state enterprise.

SBU operatives discovered in 2019 that the head of one of the agricultural firms in the region received a loan from the State Enterprise for the processing of agricultural land with fertilizers. Additionally, he made almost 3,000 tons of wheat as collateral.

Law enforcement officers have documented the fact that the attacker sold fertilizers from the state-owned enterprise for cash. Moreover, the collateral products were sold as well.

According to the forensic and economic examination, the state lost comprised almost  UAH 11,500,000 (USD 425,926).

Within the framework of criminal proceedings initiated under Part 5 Art.191 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine, the offenders were served a notice of suspicion of committing the crime.

Custody has been chosen as a form of detention.

The exposing operation was conducted jointly with the Investigation Department of the National Police of the region under the procedural guidance of Prosecutor's Office of Dnipropetrovsk region.
