In Kyiv region, SBU documented a large-scale embezzlement of the entire property complex of the state-owned enterprise by a director of a company.

The real estate of the state-owned enterprise was transferred for the firm under the lease contract. After the expiration, the firm had to return it to the state property.

During investigation, law enforcement established that since August 2017, the offenders, without approval of the governing body and the State Property Fund, dismantled the building for the sale of materials, so that destroyed the entire complex.

Experts estimated that the state budget lost UAH 20 million (USD 750,000).

Investigative actions and forensic expertise were conducted in order to obtain evidence. According to the results, law enforcement gained sufficient evidence of the embezzlement by the director.

The offender received a notice of suspicion under P.5 Art.191 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.

Operation was conducted jointly with the National Polce under the legal supervision of Kyiv Prosecutor’s Office.
