SBU Office in Sumy region jointly with the Main Directorate of the State Fiscal Service in Sumy region under the supervision of prosecution blocked illegal production of counterfeit alcohol.

SBU officers established, that a resident of Sumy city arranged an underground manufacture of alcohol beverages under well-known Ukrainian trade mark “Horobyna” aiming at realizing it in a regional stores network.

In the course of searches at the underground lab, the law enforcement seized almost one ton of spirit-containing substance and a large number of ready-for-sale alcohol products. Bottle sealing equipment, labels with the logo, corks with marking, empty bottles were also found.

The investigative actions are ongoing within a criminal proceeding initiated by the Main Directorate of the State Fiscal Service in Sumy region under Part 2 Article 204, Part 3 Article 212 and Part 1 Article 199 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
