SBU prevents provocations of pro-Russian movements during anniversary of tragedy on Kulykove Pole square
The SBU prevented an attempt of pro-Russian movement "Kulykove Pole" to organize provocations on May 2 in Odesa during the anniversary of the tragic events of 2014.
The law enforcement established that they planned to distribute separatist agitation flyers with calls to create so-called “Novorossia Republic” and to overthrow the state government.
According to their plan, such actions should have become an informational basis for discrediting Ukraine on the international arena by Russian propagandists.
During the searches, the SBU officers found a big amount of printed papers which contained anti-Ukrainian propaganda.
In particular, flyers with the division of Ukraine into quasi-republic “Novorossia” and “Bandera’s Ukraine”, stickers with inscriptions “Odesa – Russian City” and “Odesa – Novorossia”, symbols with propaganda of the totalitarian regime, printed editions, a so-called newspaper "Novorossia" and other prohibited goods.
The investigation is ongoing within a criminal proceeding initiated under P.2 Art.110, P.1 Art.109, P.1 Art.14 and P.1 Art.294 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. According to the results, the appropriate procedural decisions will be taken.
