Volyn region: policeman-organizer of drug group is served a notice of suspicion
The Security Service of Ukraine suspects policemen of one of district units of the Main Directorate of National Police in Volyn region of organizing the group engaged in drug sale.
Allegedly, the policeman involved two residents of the regional center in the group. The dealers arranged sale of cannabis in the region, searched clients among personal contacts and personally sold the “goods”.
The law enforcement detained the organizer of the group under Article 208 of the Criminal Procedure Code of Ukraine near Lutsk city when he tried to sell a batch of drugs. Previously, officers had documented two other facts of drugs sale.
During searches at the suspect’s place of residence, law enforcement found psychotropic substances, packing equipment and money gained by illicit means.
The policeman is served a notice of suspicion under Part 2 Article 307 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The issue of choosing for him type of detention is being solved.
The investigative actions to bring to responsibility all members of the group and other involved are ongoing.
The operation was conducted jointly with the Territorial Department of the State Bureau of Investigations, located in Lviv city under the supervision of the Prosecutor’s Office of Volyn region.
