SBU in Kyiv detains drug dealer who sold cocaine for USD 30,000

The Security Service of Ukraine in Kyiv detained a local when he attempted at selling half a kg of cocaine worth over USD 30,000 at black market.

Allegedly, the dealer tried to arrange regular sales of drugs in Kyiv region. He searched for clients among his personal contacts, especially in criminal circles.

The SBU officers documented his illicit activity.                 

The detainee is served a notice of suspicion of the crime under Part 2 Article 307 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The issue of choosing for him custody as type of detention is being decided.

The investigative actions to establish the supply channels of the seized cocaine and prosecute other involved are ongoing.

The operation was conducted jointly with the investigators of Darnytskyi Department of the National Police in Kyiv city under the supervision of the Kyiv local Prosecutor’s Office.
