SBU identifies all terrorists involved in killing of Ukrainian special forces operatives near Bakhmut highway
The Security Service of Ukraine established the personal data of all members of the terrorist group who on May 26, 2018 carried out artillery shelling of the positions of the Joint Forces Operation in Luhansk region. During the hostile attack, two officers of the SBU Special Operations Center "A" were killed - colonel Ruslan Mulyar and warrant officer Yurii Zhuravlov, two other officers - injured.
Allegedly, the terrorists of the so-called 3rd Motorized Rifle Battalion of the 4th SMRB of the People's Militia of the People's Republic of Luhansk were headed by a Russian nicknamed "Shumer". He was in charge of three members of illegal armed formations. The militants used artillery to attack the Joint Forces Operation near the Bakhmut highway.
The involvement of this terrorist group in the shelling of units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the Novoaidarskyi and Slavianoserbskyi districts of the Luhansk region has also been established.
Within the framework of criminal proceeding, the leader of the group and his troops are served notices of suspicion of the crimes under Part 3 Article 258 and Part 1 Article 258-3 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
The court granted permission to detain the suspects, they are wanted.
Terrorists face up to 15 years of imprisonment.
The operation was conducted under the supervision of the Prosecutor’s Office of Luhansk region.
