The SBU exposed unauthorized interference with electronic system of the State Land Cadastre by an UkrGeoCadastre official.

Allegedly, the official illegally deleted information concerning ownership rights on land plot of five hectares on the territory of Irpin city council, on the "clients” order.

On the basis of the decision of Pechersk District Court in Kyiv, the land valued at circa UAH 10 million (USD 370,000) was arrested. Thanks to proactive approach of the SBU employees, the perpetrators did not manage to sell the land plot and re-register it in the State Register of Real Property Rights.

The measures on returning the illegally alienated land plot and establishing all the circumstances of the case are now in process.

The operation was conducted jointly with the Territorial Administration of the State Bureau of Investigations in Kyiv city under the supervision of the Kyiv City Prosecutor’s Office.

The investigation in the criminal proceedings under Art. 361, 364 and 366 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine is ongoing.
