Ivano-Frankivsk region: SBU exposes weapon structure deputy commander on divulging state secret

The Security Service of Ukraine exposed the deputy commander of one of the military units deployed in Ivano-Frankivsk region, who involved contractors in the work on the equipment of the security perimeter of the regime facility without access to state secrets.

According to the investigation, representatives of four commercial structures were engaged in the installation of a fire alarm system and video cameras on the territory of the military arsenal. At that the contractors did not have special permits to carry out the relevant work.

SBU investigators also found that the designers had developed and stored documentation for equipping the security perimeter and military unit facilities in the premises without security control.

Within the framework of initiated criminal proceedings under Part 1 Art. 422 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine the SBU officers seized secret documents.

The deputy commander of the arsenal has been served suspicion notice of divulging military information containing state secret.
