SBU serves notices of suspicion to so-called LNR head and eleven leaders
For the last three months, the SBU employees have served notices of suspicion to the so-called ministers, heads of administrations and councillors of the so-called LNR. The head of the terrorist organization is also among the suspects.
The list of the suspects includes heads of quasi Ministry of State Security, Ministry of Communications and Mass Media, Ministry of Agriculture, three “councilors of People’s Council”, two “ministry” officials and a terrorist leader call-signed “Nuf”.
The suspects were served notices of suspicion of actions aimed at the forceful change or overthrow of the constitutional order or take-over of government, trespass against territorial integrity and inviolability of Ukraine, organization of illegal confinement or abduction of a person and creation of terrorist group or terrorist organization (P. 1 Art. 109, P. 2 Art. 110, P. 3 Art. 27, P. 2 Art. 146, P. 1 of Art. 258-3 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
The court granted the permission for detention of the suspects. The suspects were put on the “wanted” list.
In total, the SBU investigators have finished almost 90 pre-trial investigations concerning representatives of the so-called LNR for the last three years. The indictments are sent to the court.
Documenting of the unlawful actions of another members of the terrorist organization is ongoing.
The operation was conducted under the supervision of the Prosecutor's Office of Luhansk region.
