SBU prevented illegal alienation of lands of the state enterprise Sea Commercial Port “Yuzhny” worth tens millions of hryvnias.

According to preliminary data of the investigation, the deal was organized by representatives of a number of private companies and the Department of Architecture and Urban Development of Uzhny City Council. Contrary to the current legislation, they signed a number of documents that moved almost 5 hectares of state-owned lands into private ownership. The organizers, in particular, had to obtain the land plot of port where the contractor was building hydraulic structures.  

Currently, the head of the Department of Architecture and Urban Development of Uzhny City Council was served suspicion notice of committing forgery by an official under Part 1 Art. 366 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.

Currently, the investigative actions on establishing all circumstances of the illegal activity and bringing to responsibility other people involved in the fraud are under way.

The measures to disclose the offenders were conducted jointly with the National Police investigators under the procedural supervision of the Prosecutor's Office of Odesa region.
