SBU suspects private land surveyor in Kyiv region

A private land surveyor from Boryspil, earlier exposed on USD 30,000 bribe by SBU, is served a notice of suspicion. She allegedly planned to share this money with officials of State Service for Geodesy and Cartography.

According to the pre-trial investigation, the suspect promised a local resident to facilitate with fast-track approval of the land planning projects and issuing cadastral number for two land plots, designated for private construction. To be more persuasive, the suspect bragged about her connections with State Service for Geodesy and Cartography officials.

Earlier, the law enforcement detained the suspect when she received the whole sum of bribe at her office under Article 208 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.

She is suspected of the crime under Part 2 Article 369-2 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.

The involvement of officials of the Main Directorate of State Service for Geodesy and Cartography in Kyiv region is being checked.

The operation was conducted jointly with the Military Prosecutor's Office of Darnytskyi garrison and investigators of the National Police.
