Zakarpattia region: SBU CI stops provocations against Ukraine's territorial integrity (video)
SBU CI in Zakarpattia region blocked illegal activities of civic groups under Part 2 Art. 110 (encroachment on the territorial integrity and inviolability of Ukraine) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
The intelligence indicates that Ukrainian citizens were involved in the development and participation of the strategy for appealing the results of The Treaty of Trianon with international agencies. Thus, in 1920 the territories, including part of the lands of current Zakarpattia region, were ceded to the Kingdom of Hungary.
Within the framework of criminal proceedings initiated under Part 2 Art. 110 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine, SBU officers documented that the representatives of foreign organizations use a Ukrainian citizen to collect signatures of residents of the region in support of a petition to cancel the terms of the Treaty of Trianon.
The SBU examination shows that the bulletins to survey Ukrainian compatriots included calls for violation of the territorial integrity of Ukraine.
The organizer of the questionnaire was served a suspicion notice and chosen a preventive measure. Information on alleged involvement of other persons and organizations in anti-Ukrainian activities is being checked.
The exposing operation was carried out under the legal supervision of the Prosecutor's Office of Zakarpattia region.
