October 8 marks anniversary of Crimean Bridge’s first hit

The morning of 8 October 2022 will forever be etched in the memory of the Ukrainian people. News of the first strike on the Crimean Bridge by the Security Service of Ukraine caused a wave of genuine national elation.

The power of the explosion – 21 tons in TNT equivalent – left the bridge in disrepair. The enemy lost its main route to supply weapons and ammunition to Ukraine’s south.

But that was only the beginning. The SSU Head Vasyl Maliuk said – ‘Good things come in threes’, and he kept his promise.

On 17 July 2023, the SSU carried out the second attack on the Crimean Bridge, this time with Sea Baby maritime drones. Then, on 3 June 2025, we damaged the bridge supports with underwater explosions!
