SSU liquidates telegram-platform for sales of cocaine and LSD

SSU Cybersecurity neutralized a large-scale group of drug-dealers during the operation in Khmelnytskyi region. The offenders sold multi-million bulk batches of drugs and psychotropic substances to different regions of Ukraine every month.

For the products’ sales participants of the group created large-scale internet-based platform in Telegram messenger. The dealers proposed cocaine, LSD, amphetamine, A-PVP and cannabis to the clients via the platform.

To conceal the illegal activity, they used messenger’s profiles that were registered to the foreign mobile operators.  

The offenders have sold banned substances to Kyiv, Khmelnytskyi, Lviv, Vinnytsia, Chernivtsi and Ternopil regions. They obtained drugs using the so-called caches system.

Payments were made using crypto currencies or via electronic payment systems.

It’s established, that the business was organized by Khmelnytskyi region citizens. There are individuals, who were earlier prosecuted for possession and sale of drugs among them.

During the searches in residences the following exposed:

  • A batch of drugs for over than UAH 1,5m. (USD 56000);
  • firearms and more than 400 ammos;
  • means of communication and computers with evidence of illegal activity;
  • money presumably derived from crime.

Currently the organizer and two participants of the group are served a notice of suspicion. The issue of choosing a type of detention is being settled.

The operation was conducted by the SSU Office in Khmelnytskyi region under the coordination of the SSU Cybersecurity Department together with the Main Department of the National Police in Khmelnytskyi region under the procedural supervision of Khmelnytskyi Region Prosecutor’s Office.
