SBU CI blocks employment of Ukrainians at facilities of Russian defence industry complex

The SBU CI has exposed recruitment of labor migrants from Ukraine to work at the facilities of Russian defence industry complex.

Such employment contradicts the requirements of Art. 9 and Art. 12 of the Law of Ukraine “On State Control over International Transfers of Military and Dual-Use Goods”, as well as the decision of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine “On measures to improve the state military-technical policy”, dated 27.08.2014.

SBU operatives found that Ukrainian shipbuilding specialists executed orders of the Russian Ministry of Defense and the FSB Border Forces.

According to intelligence, a former employee of one of the design engineering bureaus, which is included into Ukroboronprom, was involved in the "scheme".

Being a technological engineer, he provided technical assistance in construction of anti-saboteur boat for the FSB and the pontoon for Russian Navy.

The offender received a suspicion notice of violation of the procedures of international transfers of goods subject to state export control.

Trial contents were filed to court.

The operation was carried out under the supervision of Kherson Region Prosecutor's Office.
