In Mykolaiv city, the SBU CI exposed and prevented an attempt to smuggle gas turbine products from Ukraine for the needs of the Russian Navy.

The SBU officers established that representatives of a local company jointly with a Russian citizen planned to smuggle the goods of a state-owned enterprise for testing gas turbine engines operated on Russian warships.

During the investigation, law enforcement officers seized technological equipment prepared for smuggling, as well as documentary materials proving the illegal activities.

The investigation is ongoing to establish all the circumstances of the case and to bring to justice all the persons involved into the illegal activity.

The operation was conducted jointly with the Main Department of the National Police in Mykolaiv region under the supervision of the Military Prosecutor's Office of Mykolaiv garrison.
