The SSU CI exposed and detained a resident of Donetsk region. He was recruited by representatives of the so-called DNR State Security Ministry (MDB) controlled by Russian special services.

The operatives established that the terrorist held a position in one of the public organizations, which is an executive partner of the UN High Commissioner for Refugees.

In order to perform the tasks of Russian mentors, he gathered and passed information about the deployment, security regime of the Security Service of Ukraine, the Armed Forces, the National Guard, the Main Directorate of Intelligence of the Ministry of Defense and the State Border Guard Service in Donetsk region, as well as the migration of personnel and military equipment in the JFO area.

Law enforcement officers detained Russian special agent according to Art. 208 of the Criminal Procedure Code of Ukraine.

The perpetrator was served suspicion notice of creating a terrorist group or terrorist organization.

The issue of choosing a type of detention is being resolved.

The operation was conducted under the procedural supervision of the Donetsk Region Prosecutor's Office.
