The SBU exposed corruption organized by the deputy head of the regional branch of the State Property Fund of Kyiv, Cherkasy and Chernihiv regions. The official demanded a bribe for "resolving the issue" of renting state-owned property.

SBU operatives established that the official guaranteed the businessman winning in the auctions and unimpeded rent of the premises.

Law enforcement detained the official according to Art. 208 of the Criminal Procedure Code of Ukraine in the office after receiving a bribe.

The issue of serving the detainee a suspicion notice of taking a bribe is being resolved.

Investigative actions are underway.

Information on other facts of bribery by an official and involvement of other officials in illegal scheme is being checked.
