Chernihiv region: SSU detains russian agent who passed intelligence on movement of Ukrainian troops to enemy
The SSU Counterintelligence has detained a resident of a border village in Chernihiv oblast, who provided information to the enemy on movement and deployment of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the area.
The investigation established that the 32-year-old woman began to cooperate with the occupiers after the start of the full-scale invasion.
After this territory was liberated, she kept on working for the enemy, collecting data on location of Ukrainian Defence Forces, depots with weapons and military equipment, checkpoints, and movement of military convoys.
For a monetary reward, the spy passed the collected intelligence to occupiers using a messenger app.
During the searches, investigators seized communication devices with evidence of criminal activity from the suspect.
The detained agent has been notified of suspicion. Court has ruled to hold the suspect in custody.
The SSU Office in Chernihiv Region carried out the operation under the procedural supervision of the regional prosecutor’s office.
