Operatives of the SBU Main Department of Internal Security exposed a foreigner who offered a bribe to an employee of the SBU Office in Kyiv region.

SBU officers established that a citizen of one of the Central Asian countries addressed a senior officer with a proposal to assist in the illegal legalization of foreigners in our country. The officer immediately informed the leadership about the proposal of unlawful benefit.

The law-enforcement detained the malefactor in a restaurant in one of the district centers of Kyiv region during the transfer of an advance for future "cooperation".

In the framework of the criminal proceedings initiated under Part 3 Art. 369 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine, the issues of serving a notice of suspicion and choosing the measure of restraint are being settled.

The pre-trial investigation is ongoing.

The operation was carried out jointly with investigators of the Main Department of the National Police in Kyiv city under the procedural guidance of the Military Prosecutor's Office of the Darnytsia garrison.
