SBU conducted authorized searches of officials’ local charitable organization in Zakarpattia region.

Currently, the involvement of a foreign fund in activities violating the Ukraine's sovereignty is being verified. The law enforcement is investigating, in particular, the alleged interference in the internal affairs of Ukraine and endangering Ukraine's national security by means of illegal extension of Hungarian law and activities of public authorities to certain regions of Ukraine.

The assistance of Ukrainian politicians to a foreign country is being investigated by employees of the Ukrainian special service. Reportedly, the offenders are suspected of supporting the state authorities of the neighboring country in subversive activities against Ukraine, including high treason.

During the searches, SBU officers found print media promoted the so-called “Greater Hungary” and the creation of ethnic autonomy in Zakarpattia region. Computers, mobile phones and other equipment were also seized for further examination.

Investigation is ongoing.

The operation was carried out under the procedural guidance of the Prosecutor's Office.
