The SBU prevented the illegal export of dual-use goods subject to mandatory export control.

The SBU officers established that a resident of Chernivtsi region attempted to secretly transport 7 clocks to a European country. The above clocks are used in military aviation as component parts for aircraft. The dealer transported the illegal cargo in his own minibus.

The law enforcement officers stopped the vehicle with goods at the “Diakovo” checkpoint in Transcarpathian region.

The criminal proceedings were initiated upon the violation of procedure of international transfers of goods subject to state export control.

The investigation is ongoing.

The operation was conducted jointly with Transcarpathian Customs of the State Customs Service and the State Border Guard Service under the supervision of Zakarpattia Regional Prosecutor's Office.
