SSU Head Oleksandr Poklad dismisses officers involved in NABU investigation
The Head of the Security Service of Ukraine, Oleksandr Poklad, has dismissed two senior SSU officers involved in an investigation by the National Anti-Corruption Bureau as part of Operation Carthage.
The SSU is providing full support and assistance in all necessary procedural actions in these criminal proceedings.
‘The SSU expects a transparent, objective, and impartial investigation. I have discussed this specifically with the heads of NABU and SAPO. We share a clear, constructive cooperation. Furthermore, I remain in contact with our colleagues from partner intelligence agencies. We are taking all necessary steps to ensure that the investigation into these crimes also extends to other jurisdictions. As for the individual involved in the case known as ‘The Mexican’, I suggest he arrive in Ukraine and surrender to law enforcement. Otherwise, we will find him ourselves, no matter where he is hiding. We have the experience to do so. The SSU works and will continue to work solely in the interests of Ukraine,’ said SSU Head Oleksandr Poklad.
