Occupiers suffer huge losses in battles in eastern Ukraine (video)
This is what a captured native of Luhansk, mobilized from the ranks of the ‘LNR people’s militia’, tells the SSU.
In particular, he mentions Rubizhne, where 70% of his company were killed in the battle for one street. The occupiers could not take the city for almost a month.
This was happening despite the enemy having a 20-times advantage in strength in the eastern front.
‘We were moving along Lenin Street [now Volodymyrska Street] for total of 3, maybe 4 weeks,’ the captive admits. They were advancing with such battles and losses that ‘during that time there were great destruction, huge losses… about 70% of the company.’
Russians compensated the losses with mobilized soldiers. And from Rubizhne the ‘reinforced’ brigade was sent to Severodonetsk.
There, the Armed Forces of Ukraine met the occupiers with heavy fire in the industrial area. This prompted the invaders to surrender to at least save their lives.
Currently, this and other prisoners from the illegal armed groups are testifying to SSU investigators.
