SSU HEAD VASYL MALIUK’S NEW YEAR GREETINGS
Dear Ukrainians! Friends and brothers-in-arms!
2023 was another heroic year for the Ukrainian people in the fight against the enemy. Once again, we showed the world our unbreakable strength and unity.
Every day, the Defence Forces do their best to bring Ukraine one step closer to Victory.
We stand firmly on our land. The best sons and daughters of Ukraine are giving their lives for it. In the same way, it was defended by our glorious Cossack ancestors. Because freedom and liberty have always been the highest value for Ukrainians.
This spiritual link between warriors of different generations is still felt today and helps us to fight the enemy. That’s one of the reasons why a unique technical development of the Security Service of Ukraine – the Sea Baby maritime drones, with which we hit the Crimean bridge and many russian warships – was created based on the prototype of the Cossack chaika.
The SSU is inspired by Ukraine’s glorious history and is constantly looking for new technological solutions to arrange as many surprises for the enemy as possible. This year we carried out many special operations on land and at sea.
We are working together with our sworn brothers from the Defence Forces in the hottest spots of the war - from Kherson to Donetsk oblast.
Our drones are burning down russian military equipment. Snipers are hitting targets at record distances. Counterintelligence and Military Counterintelligence detain traitors and collaborators to destroy the fifth column inside the country. Cyber units repel thousands of russian cyberattacks, protecting critical infrastructure. And SSU investigators document every war crime committed by the russian army.
This is our daily contribution to Ukraine’s Victory.
We know exactly what we are defending and fighting for: for peace and prosperity to return to our country! And for our children to grow up in a safe and prosperous Ukraine!
I wish harmony, happiness and prosperity to every Ukrainian family.
HAPPY NEW YEAR!
Head of the Security Service of Ukraine
Major General
