SSU HEAD VASYL MALIUK’S GREETINGS ON SECURITY SERVICE OF UKRAINE ANNIVERSARY
Dear Ukrainians, colleagues and sworn brothers!
For the Security Service, March 25 marks the beginning of a year of new challenges and achievements. This is the date of the establishment of the Security Service of independent Ukraine.
Each such anniversary is special for us. This particular one reminds us that a third of the 33 years of the Service’s existence were spent in the war with russia – a hybrid and full-scale war. This is a real test of patriotism and resilience, which the SSU, like the entire Ukrainian people, successfully passes every day.
During the war years, the SSU has come a long way of changes and transformations. It has tempered its spirit and gained invaluable combat experience to resist the adversary and defend our Homeland.
Today, the list of tasks of the Security Service is very wide: from destroying russia’s military potential to countering terrorism on the streets of Ukrainian cities and villages. We firmly hold every section of the frontline together with our comrades-in-arms from the Defense Forces, protecting the lives and safety of citizens.
SSU servicemen have mastered unmanned technologies. With our drones, we hit russian warships in the Black Sea, turn enemy tanks into scrap metal, cause ‘earthquakes’ in weapons depots and shoot down attack helicopters.
Our priority is to destroy as many enemies as possible and liberate our land. Ukrainians have done this many times before: sabers of Cossack times have been replaced by modern weapons and FPV drones. We have good genetic memory, multiplied by a thirst for freedom and a hatred of russian torturers. We also have the desire to avenge our fallen comrades and to make an eternal vaccination against russians for our descendants.
We will keep fighting for Ukraine! By remaining united and resilient, Ukrainians can change the course of history for the sake of the future of our country.
Glory to Ukraine!
Head of the Security Service of Ukraine
Lieutenant General Vasyl MALIUK
