CHRISTMAS AND NEW YEAR GREETINGS FROM SSU HEAD VASYL MALIUK

Dear Ukrainians!
Friends, colleagues and comrades-in-arms!

Together, we have lived through another year of war – a year of endurance, responsibility and relentless struggle. It was a year marked by numerous difficult challenges and trials, yet also by remarkable achievements made possible by the professionalism and dedication of the Security Service of Ukraine.

2025 became the year of the unique special operation Spider Web and the destruction of russia’s 41 strategic aircraft. It was also the year when we reached the enemy even underwater: the Crimean Bridge was struck for the third time – this time by an underwater explosion – and an enemy submarine was hit by the SSU directly in the port of Novorossiysk.

It was a year of systematic strikes against infrastructure sustaining the aggressor’s war effort and of decisive ‘combat sanctions’ imposed by the Security Service of Ukraine on russia’s shadow fleet.

These were twelve months of fierce fighting on the front line, where our warriors have been turning the occupiers’ military equipment into scrap metal. As always, they demonstrated outstanding results: every sixth enemy tank destroyed by Ukraine’s Defence Forces was eliminated by the SSU.

It was 365 days of resistance on the internal front, where our officers prevented any attempts to destabilise the situation inside the country. The Service did everything possible to thwart terrorist attacks and sabotage, exposing enemy agents and traitors on a large scale.

The aggressor state sought to break through our defences both on the battlefield and within the state. We did not allow this to happen. On the contrary, we outplayed the occupiers on their own territory, striking where they least expected it.

This year has once again demonstrated the strength of the Ukrainian character. For Ukrainians, freedom is not an abstract concept – it is an integral part of our identity. Therefore, with God in our hearts and faith in a bright future, we will continue our struggle.

During the Christmas and New Year holidays, people traditionally make wishes. The shared wish of Ukrainians is a lasting and just peace. And we will do everything to ensure it.

I wish us all strength, resilience, and Victory!

MERRY CHRISTMAS AND HAPPY NEW YEAR 2026!

With respect,

Head of the Security Service of Ukraine

Lieutenant General

Vasyl Maliuk
