SSU seizes property of sanctioned oligarch Novynskyi worth over UAH 3.5 bln
Following the SSU’s investigation, the court seized the property of pro-russian oligarch Vadym Novynskyi, involved in aiding the aggressor state.
The list of blocked assets includes corporate rights to 40 Ukrainian enterprises and 30 gas wells producing industrial volumes of natural gas.
The total worth of the arrested property is over UAH 3.5 bln (USD 92.5 mln).
To avoid NSDC sanctions, Novynskyi tried to re-register his industrial facilities to several affiliated commercial entities.
He engaged private notaries and state registrars under his control to implement the scheme.
Based on the SSU’s findings, the Ministry of Justice has already canceled the unlawful actions of the registrars in relation to the oligarch’s several enterprises.
Within the criminal proceeding under Article 111-2 (aiding the aggressor state), the SSU conducted searches in the companies as well as at the offices and homes of the suspects.
During the searches, the law enforcement found documents, seals of non-resident companies and pro-kremlin religious literature.
The investigation is conducted under the supervision of the Prosecutor General’s Office in cooperation with the Ministry of Justice of Ukraine.
