SSU will strike the enemy where they consider themselves unreachable - SSU Head Vasyl Maliuk about special operation Spider Web (video)
The Security Service of Ukraine has released a new video about the special operation Spider Web, which resulted in hitting 41 military aircraft at four airfields simultaneously.
The footage shows the chronology of events, revealing how one of the largest attacks in the enemy’s deep rear was prepared and executed.
‘The SSU is striking and will continue to strike the enemy even where they consider themselves unreachable! We are working to surprise them with new surprises. No less painful than Operation Spider Web,’ said SSU Head Lieutenant General Vasyl Maliuk.
This special operation was a response to massive rocket attacks on Ukrainian cities, hospitals and energy infrastructure.
Led by the SSU Head Vasyl Maliuk, the operation was conducted on the order of the President of Ukraine, Supreme Commander-in-Chief Volodymyr Zelenskyi. Its preparation was carried out in the utmost secrecy.
First, the SSU sent FPV-drones to russia, followed by modular wooden houses. On russian territory, the drones were hidden under the roofs of the houses placed on trucks. At the right moment, the roofs were opened remotely, and the drones flew to hit designated targets – russian bombers.
‘In accordance with the laws and customs of war, we struck absolutely legitimate targets – military airfields and aircraft that bomb our peaceful cities. So, we are actually demilitarizing russia,’ emphasized Vasyl Maliuk.
On June 1, the Security Service conducted a unique operation to simultaneously target four military airfields in russia’s rear: Olenya, Ivanovo, Diagilevo and Belaya. These were the bases of the aggressor state’s strategic aviation, which regularly attack peaceful Ukrainian cities.
The estimated cost of the equipment destroyed in the SSU’s special operation Spider Web exceeds USD 7 billion.
The total losses of enemy aircraft amount to 41 units, including A-50, Tu-95, Tu-22, Tu-160, An-12 and Il-78 aircraft.
