SSU identifies 3 ruscists who killed Ukrainian patriot during occupation of Kharkiv region and burned his dismembered body
The SSU and the National Police have identified three more russian occupiers who committed war crimes against civilians in the temporarily occupied territory of Kharkiv region.
The offenders are two servicemen of the 7th separate motorized rifle regiment of the russian armed forces, Vitalii Piddubnyi and Oleksii Horbunov, as well as Ruslan Honcharov, a military man from the 202nd motorized rifle regiment of the aggressor country.
In the spring of 2022, they took part in the seizure of the Kupiansk and Izium districts and carried out punitive actions against residents.
During their "raids," the ruscists abducted and killed people.
According to the investigation, on the territory of the Shevchenkivska community of Kupiansk district, Piddubnyi shot a local farmer with an assault rifle.
To conceal the crime, the offender, together with Horbunov and Honcharov, dismembered the body of the murdered man and then burned it.
In addition, the suspects broke into civilian homes and stole private property, including cars, household appliances, and money.
In case of resistance, the ruscists threatened to kill children.
The SSU documented that the offenders seized 6 cars and trucks.
According to the findings, they planned to transport the stolen items to their homes in russia.
Based on the evidence collected, all three war criminals were served suspicion notices in absentia under Articles 28.2 and 438.1 of the CCU (violation of the laws and customs of war committed by a group of persons by prior conspiracy).
The criminal actions of Piddubnyi were also qualified under Articles 28.2 and 438.2 of the CCU (violation of the laws and customs of war, combined with premeditated murder, committed by a group of persons by prior conspiracy).
The investigation was carried out by the SSU Office in Kharkiv regions under the procedural supervision of the regional Prosecutor’s Office.
