SSU identifies russian torturers from whom resident of Kyiv Region escaped during Ukraine’s counteroffensive (video)
The SSU has identified russian war criminals who tortured and tried to kill a resident of Kyiv region during temporary occupation of a part of the region.
Despite physical abuse, the victim managed to escape from captivity when the enemy positions were shelled during the counteroffensive of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
The torturers are three servicemen of the 64th separate motorized rifle brigade of the 35th combined army of russia:
- Oleksandr BORYSOV, d.o.b.: March 7, 1999,
- Rayan MADYAEV, d.o.b.: June 6, 2002,
- Maksym SULAINDZIUGA, d.o.b.: August 25, 1994.
It was their occupation group that actively participated in mass murders and torture of civilian population in Bucha district in February-March 2022.
The investigation established that the perpetrators kidnapped a man and tortured him for several days. The victim was subjected to violence and psychological pressure.
When the victim broke out of russian captivity, the invaders opened fire and wounded him.
On the basis of collected evidence, the three russian war criminals were notified of suspicion of crime under Article 438.1 of the CCU (violation of laws and customs of war).
The SSU has established the identities and probable location of the suspects. Comprehensive measures are underway to bring them to justice.
The SSU Main Directorate for Countering Systemic Threats to State Administration has been working on the case together with investigators of the SSU Office in Kyiv and Kyiv Region under the procedural supervision of the Prosecutor General’s Office.
