SSU shuts down clandestine print shop in Kyiv that counterfeited certificates of unfitness for military service
In Kyiv, the SSU has dismantled a criminal group involved in unlawful transportation of Ukrainian men of call-up age abroad.
For their ‘clients’, the crooks forged certificates of persons liable for military service and certificates of unfitness for military service.
The participants of the scheme used the printing shop of an affiliated commercial structure for serial production of forgeries.
The prices for fake documents ranged from USD 800 to 2,000.
The investigation established that the organizers were two residents of the capital. To find customers, they created a specialized Internet platform where they offered their ‘services’. They received payment to their bank cards and sent the fakes by postal services.
During the searches, the law enforcement found forms of military registration documents, fake certificates of conscription offices and mobile phones with evidence of unlawful activity.
Both organizers of the scheme have been notified of suspicion.
The investigation is underway to identify and bring to justice all those involved in the crime.
