SBU prevents SE "Dnipropetrovsk oblavtodor” to be artificially bankrupted

The Security Service of Ukraine documented and blocked an unlawful scheme of artificial pushing into insolvency a critical infrastructure facility  – the state enterprise “Dnipropetrovsk oblavtodor”, which is a branch of JSC SJSC “Roads of Ukraine ”.

The SBU established that in December 2019, by the instruction of the management of the state enterprise ordered to reflect in accounting statement artificial credit debt amounting to UAH 600,000 (USD 21,500), payable to a subordinate company. Work under this "contract" was not actually performed.

On the basis of this artificially created debt, the dealers initiated bankruptcy proceedings against “Dnipropetrovsk oblavtodor”.

Allegedly, the purpose of the group of persons, who acted by prior conspiracy, was to seize production bases, property complexes, equipment, machinery of the state enterprise, with the use of subordinate companies. The equipment was used for maintenance of state roads.

During the searches of the offices and industrial premises in Dnipro city, as well as the suspects’ residences, the law enforcement seized documents of fictitious financial and economic activities of enterprises involved in the illegal deal, and other evidence.

Investigation is ongoing.

The operation was conducted under the supervision of the Prosecutor General’s Office and with assistance of the management of the State Agency of Motor Roads of Ukraine.
