Today’s exchange is the outcome of the efforts of the Joint Centre for Coordination of Search and Liberation of Prisoners of War, the Coordination Staff for the Treatment of PoWs, and other entities that carried out the order of President Volodymyr Zelenskyi.

As a result of this exchange, 185 military servicemen and 20 civilians returned home. Among them are the personnel of the Armed Forces, the National Guard and the State Border Service who defended Mariupol, Azovstal and the Chernobyl Nuclear Power Plant. Most of them had been in captivity since 2022, and now they are finally home.
