For the first time, the repatriation was carried out using specialized carriages of Ukrzaliznytsia. Thanks to this, the bodies of the fallen defenders of Ukraine will be delivered in an expedited manner to institutions in various regions, where further identification and other measures will take place.

The fallen defenders were returned as a result of joint efforts by the Joint Centre for Coordination of Search and Liberation of Prisoners of War at the SSU, the Coordination Staff for Treatment of PoWs, the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the Office of the Human Rights Commissioner, the Secretariat of the Commissioner for Missing Persons, the State Emergency Service, the State Border Guard Service, and other entities of the Security and Defense Sector of Ukraine.
