SSU serves notice of suspicion to militant who robbed residents of Kakhovka

The SSU has collected irrefutable evidence of guilt of another member of the ‘DNR’ terrorist organization, who fought against Ukraine.

When the full-scale invasion started, he voluntarily came to the enemy ‘military enlistment office’ in the temporarily occupied Novoazovsk, Donetsk region.

There, the individual was appointed a senior rifleman in the 9th marine regiment of russia’s 1st army corps.

The militant actively participated in warfare against Ukrainian Defence Forces on Kherson-Kryvyi Rih axis.

Together with russian invaders, the man robbed residents of the captured Kakhovka.

During such ‘raids’, occupiers robbed citizens and used weapons in case they resisted.

The militant was captured by Ukrainian defenders in October this year. Automatic weapons and ammunition were seized from him.

According to the SSU Counterintelligence, the detainee is a resident of Donetsk region who joined the illegal armed groups of the ‘DNR’s people’s militia’ after February 24 this year.

Then, he was ‘sent’ to russia’s occupation groups at the southern front.

Based on the collected evidence, SSU investigators notified the detainee of suspicion of committing crimes under the Articles of the CCU:

  • 28.2, 438.1 (violation of laws and customs of war);
  • 111.2 (high treason committed under martial law);
  • 260.5 (participation in unlawful armed groups).

The investigation was carried out by the SSU Office in Kherson region in cooperation with the Armed Forces of Ukraine under the procedural supervision of Kherson Region Prosecutor’s Office.
