SSU serves notice of suspicion to putin’s pal supplying Kinzhal missiles for strikes on Ukraine

The SSU has collected evidence against Sergey Chemezov, CEO of the russian corporation Rostec, a monopolist in supplying arms and ammunition to russian occupation groupings.

Having known putin from the time of the latter’s service in the soviet KGB, Chemezov is a member of the russian president’s inner circle and his close associate.

For over 15 years, he has been the permanent head of the aggressor state’s key military-industrial corporation.

Rostec companies produce up to 80% of the military equipment, weapons and ammunition used in the war against Ukraine.

These companies include Kalashnikov, Uralvagonzavod, russian Helicopters and United Aircraft Corporation, which supply the occupiers with tanks, combat aircraft and missile systems.

The SSU has documented the transfer by Chemezov’s companies to russia’s defence ministry of wholesale consignments of:

  • Su-30, Su-35, Su-57 fighter planes;
  • Su-34 frontline fighter-bombers;
  • X-47M Kinzhal ballistic missiles;
  • Ka-52 and Mi-28 combat helicopters;
  • attack and reconnaissance drones;
  • Il-76 military transport aircraft;
  • T-90M, T-80BVM and T-72B3M tanks;
  • BMP-2M and BMP-3 infantry fighting vehicles;
  • Tornado-S and Tornado-G multiple launch rocket systems and Msta-S self-propelled howitzers.

Based on the evidence collected, SSU investigators notified Chemezov of suspicion under Article 110-2.4 of the CCU (financing actions committed with the purpose of forceful change or overthrow of the constitutional order or seizure of state power, change of the boundaries of the territory or the state border of Ukraine).

The suspect is outside Ukraine; comprehensive efforts are underway to bring him to justice.

The investigation was carried out under the procedural supervision of the Prosecutor General’s Office.
