SSU serves notice of suspicion to treacherous former MP’s wife and seizes her UAH 250 million property in Odesa
The SSU has collected evidence of treason committed by Inesa Markova, wife of former parliament member from the banned party of regions Ihor Markov. She is a co-owner of a russian IT company that develops software for russian military aircraft.
In 2014, Markova and her husband moved to moscow, where they are currently hiding from prosecution and contributing to russia’s war against Ukraine.
Before the full-scale invasion, Markova founded the so-called Engineering center for information and analytical systems in russia.
Among its co-founders is the sanctioned russian singer Grigoryi Leps, who supports the war against Ukraine.
The traitor’s company is developing onboard systems for russian combat helicopters, ordered by the rostec corporation, for example, the KA-52 Alligator and Mi-28N Night Hunter.
The investigation documented that Markova’s company had supplied the russian occupation groupings with software products worth over 100 million rubles since the start of the full-scale invasion.
Based on the evidence, SSU investigators notified Inesa Markova of suspicion under Article 111.2 of the CCU (high treason, committed under martial law).
As a result of the investigation, the court also seized her commercial property, a private house and a land plot in Odesa worth over UAH 250 mln (USD 6 mln).
In May 2023, the SSU declared her husband, Ihor Markov, suspect under three Articles of the CCU (including high treason).
Efforts are underway to bring the traitors to justice for crimes against Ukraine.
The investigation was carried out by the SSU Odesa Office under the procedural supervision of the regional Prosecutor’s Office.
