The SSU has collected evidence against the chairman of the parliament of the Chechen republic, russia, Magomed Daudov, who is involved in the occupation of a part of Ukraine’s territory.

The suspect is a member of Kadyrov’s inner circle and follows his instructions to wage the aggressive war against our country.

The investigation established that since May 2022, Daudov had been forming new assault units of russian occupation groupings, based in the North Caucasus.

It was with his direct participation that the ‘78th motorized special forces regiment north-akhmat’ was created, as well as the battalions ‘south-akhmat’, ‘west-akhmat’ and ‘east-akhmat’.

According to the investigation, the ‘mobilized’ individuals undergo military training at the special forces university, located in Gudermes, Chechen Republic.

After that, the militants are deployed to the temporarily occupied districts of Donetsk, Luhansk, Kherson and Zaporizhzhia regions.

Investigators also identified that Daudov had repeatedly visited the temporarily occupied Lysychansk, Popasna and Mariupol in July-November 2022.

There, he met with commanders of the newly created ‘kadyrov’s’ units and called for active warfare against Ukrainian Defence Forces.

In addition, the offender regularly disseminates posts on his own Telegram channel with Kadyrov’s speeches justifying russia’s aggression against Ukraine.

Based on the collected evidence, SSU investigators notified Daudov of suspicion under the Articles of the CCU:

• 27.5, 437.2 (aiding and abetting in waging an aggressive war);
• 27.5, 110.3 (aiding and abetting in commission of intentional actions to change the borders of the territory of Ukraine in violation of the procedure established by the Constitution of Ukraine, which led to death of people and other grave consequences, committed by a representative of authorities and by prior conspiracy by a group of persons);
• 436-2.3 (dissemination by an official of materials containing justifications, recognizing the legitimacy of russia’s armed aggression against Ukraine).

The suspect is currently in russia. Comprehensive measures are underway to bring him to justice.

The SSU conducted the investigation under the supervision of the Prosecutor General’s Office.
