Member of Mariupol City Council from OPZZh (Opposition Platform – For Life political party) Konstyantyn Ivashchenko has voluntarily sided with the Russian invaders.

Currently, under the guidance of Russian Armed Forces, the collaborator is organizing work of occupation authorities in the part of the city temporarily controlled by invaders and calls himself ‘the head of Mariupol administration.’ He publicly urges the Ukrainian military to lay down their arms and not to resist the occupiers.

The SSU investigators have qualified the collaborator’s actions as high treason. Under the supervision of Donetsk Regional Prosecutor’s Office, he was notified of suspicion of committing a crime under Part 2 of Article 111 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.

The pre-trial investigation is ongoing.

The traitor is facing life imprisonment.
