SSU serves notice of suspicion to Crimean traitor who fired grenade launcher at Ukrainian positions near Robotyne

The SSU has collected evidence against another militant of russian occupation troops who fought against Ukraine on the southern front.

The SSU Military Counterintelligence and the Armed Forces of Ukraine took him prisoner during combat near Robotyne in Zaporizhzhia region this spring.

The militant is a resident of the temporarily occupied Crimea who joined the 810th marine brigade of the russian armed forces in November 2022.

There, he was appointed a rifleman and received camouflaged uniforms, automatic weapons and ammunition.

After a short military training course, the enemy soldier was sent to the southern front to strengthen the invaders’ first line of defence before Ukraine’s counteroffensive.

While on the frontline, the traitor equipped ruscists’ fortifications and additional firing points.

He fired at Ukrainian positions from a machine gun and a hand-held anti-tank grenade launcher.

During one of the battles, the militant was detained due to coordinated actions of the AFU and the SSU Military Counterintelligence.

Based on the collected evidence, SSU investigators served him a notice of suspicion under Article 111.2 of the CCU (high treason committed under martial law).

The suspect is in custody, facing life imprisonment.

The investigation was carried out under the procedural supervision of Zaporizhzhia Region Prosecutor’s Office.
