SSU notifies deputy gauleiter of Kherson region, who previously headed ‘DNR’s MFA’, of suspicion

Following an investigation by the SSU, the newly appointed deputy of the traitor Volodymyr Saldo, current head of Kherson oblast occupation administration, has been declared a suspect.

Kateryna Hubareva, a native of Kakhovka, who was previously ‘building a career’ in the terrorist organization DNR, moved to the temporarily occupied Kherson region in June 2022.

She voluntarily took the position of the so-called ‘deputy head in the field of digitalization and social policy’ in the illegal ‘military and civilian administration of Kherson region’.

Currently, the ‘administration’ performs the following tasks of the aggressor state:

  • launching russian radio stations on the territory of Kherson region (five enemy radio stations are broadcasting);
  • switching to russian mobile communications;
  • opening of ‘new’ branches of the Pension Fund and Post Office in Kherson and district centers;
  • launching the Employment center to engage residents in work under the ‘new flag’.

The pre-trial investigation established that the suspect had started collaborating with the enemy back in 2014.

While in Donbas, Hubareva worked for russian special services and terrorist organizations. She was the so-called Minister of foreign affairs of the ‘DNR’, member of the People’s council and an assistant to the head of the government of the so-called DNR.

The woman has been notified of suspicion of crime under Article 111-1.5 of the CCU (collaboration). She is facing up to 10 years in prison.

The SSU Offices in Kherson and Dnipropetrovsk regions carried out the investigation under the procedural supervision of Kherson Region Prosecutor’s Office.
