SSU serves suspicion notices to five militants who guarded russia’s secret prisons and stormed Ukrainian towns in Donetsk region
The SSU has collected irrefutable evidence of guilt of another five members of russian occupation forces who fought against Ukraine.
They are militants of the terrorist organization ‘DNR’, who at the beginning of the full-scale invasion were ‘transferred’ to the assault units of the 1st and 2nd army corps of the Southern military district of the russian armed forces.
The militants were captured by Ukrainian defenders during combat on the eastern front.
One of the suspects is a militant who had been a member of the ‘reconnaissance directorate of the DNR’s republican guard’ since 2014.
In the ranks of the terrorist group, he guarded secret russian prisons where members of the resistance movement were illegally detained.
After February 24, 2022, he took part in assaults on Ukrainian cities in Donetsk region.
Another two militants joined the so-called ‘DNR people’s militia’ on the eve of the full-scale aggression, where they were appointed to ‘positions’ of riflemen.
Together with other occupiers, they shelled settlements in eastern Ukraine and carried out engineering and technical fortification of enemy positions.
Another suspect is a militant who voluntarily joined the ‘DNR’s 2nd battalion’ in 2019.
As a rifleman in an anti-tank artillery platoon, he took part in battles against Ukrainian defenders near Vasylivka and Kamianka, Donetsk region.
One more militant is a resident of Horlivka who joined the illegal armed group ‘DNR’ in 2020 and was sent to serve in a tank battalion as a gunner.
In February 2023, he was transferred to Novobakhmutivka, where together with ruscists he shelled residential areas, civilian and energy facilities.
The suspects have now been notified of suspicion under 6 articles of the CCU:
