SSU declares russian propagandist actor Mashkov suspect
The SSU has collected evidence against russian actor Vladimir Mashkov, who is publicly justifying russia’s armed aggression.
Mashkov is close to russia’s top military and political leadership.
Since the start of the full-scale invasion, he has repeatedly spoken in support of the occupiers during public events with putin’s participation.
On his own Telegram channel and personal Instagram page with an overall audience of about 200,000 followers, the suspect regularly glorifies ruscists’ war crimes.
In his numerous interviews and appearances on central russian channels, he has called for ‘accession’ of Ukraine’s Donetsk, Luhansk, Kherson and Zaporizhzhia regions to russia.
In addition, the propagandist has illegally travelled to the temporarily occupied Crimea and eastern Ukraine to participate in propaganda events in support of the aggressive war against our country.
The SSU-initiated examinations confirmed the facts of his subversive activities for the kremlin’s benefit.
Based on the collected evidence, SSU investigators notified Mashkov of suspicion under three Articles of the CCU:
- 110.2 (encroachment on Ukraine’s territorial integrity and inviolability);
- 436-2.1, 436-2.3 (justification, recognition as legitimate, denial of russia’s armed aggression against Ukraine, glorification of its participants);
- 332-1.1, 332-1.2 (violation of procedure for entering and leaving the temporarily occupied territory of Ukraine).
The suspect is currently in russia. Comprehensive measures to bring him to justice for crimes against Ukraine are underway.
The SSU carried out the investigation jointly with the National Police under the supervision of the Prosecutor General’s Office.
