SSU serves suspicion notices to another two militants who tried to break through Ukrainian positions near Robotyne

The SSU has collected evidence against two traitors who fought against Ukraine’s Defence Forces on the southern front.

In December 2023, Ukrainian servicemen took both perpetrators prisoner during fierce fighting near Robotyne, Zaporizhzhia region.

Both detained individuals are residents of Crimea who voluntarily joined the 1152nd motorized rifle regiment of the 47th motorized rifle division of russia’s Southern military district in autumn 2022.

In the unit, one of them was appointed a rifleman, the other - a deputy platoon commander.

After training in russia in October-November 2022, the militants were transferred to the temporarily occupied Berdiansk.

There, they built fortifications around the city and around the perimeter of the seized airport. They also stood guard at enemy checkpoints.

Later, the two ‘soldiers’ were sent to Robotyne area to storm the AFU’s positions.

During one of the assaults, both militants were captured by the Defence Forces.

SSU investigators have now notified them of suspicion under two Articles of the CCU:

  • 111.2 (high treason);
  • 111-1.7 (collaboration).

The pre-trial investigation on one of the suspects has been completed, and the indictment has been sent to court.

The enemy accomplices face life imprisonment.

The investigation was carried out by the SSU Poltava Office under the procedural supervision of the regional Prosecutor’s Office.
