SSU declares another 30 collaborators suspects: serving russian ‘interior ministry’ in Zaporizhzhia oblast, they conduct repressions against Ukrainians
The SSU continues to uncover collaborators who cooperate with the aggressor in the temporarily occupied areas of Ukraine.
As a result of a joint investigation with the National Police and with the personal assistance of the Minister of Internal Affairs, the SSU has identified another 30 enemy accomplices who joined the occupation ‘main directorate of russia’s ministry of internal affairs in Zaporizhzhia region’.
Among them are former local law enforcement officers who, at the beginning of the full-scale invasion, supported the invaders and offered their assistance in the war against Ukraine.
According to the investigation, 8 collaborators were appointed to senior ‘positions’ in the occupation ‘authority’, and another 22 became their subordinates. The ‘personnel’ was selected under the guidance of russia’s FSB.
After being ‘enrolled’ to the ‘ministry’, the enemy accomplices were issued with passes and russian uniforms, as well as firearms and ammunition.
The investigation revealed that, on moscow’s instructions, the collaborators are spreading the kremlin regime in the temporarily occupied part of the region and are involved in organising mass repressions against the resistance movement.
As part of punitive measures, the ruscists abduct people and imprison them in russian torture chambers. In the jails, victims are subjected to torture, including electric shocks, deprivation of water and food etc.
In such a way, the enemy is trying to break the resistance and intimidate civilian population.
Using repressions, their organisers and executors also tried to ensure a proper ‘turnout’ of local residents at russia’s fake plebiscites.
Based on the evidence collected, SSU investigators served suspicion notices under Article 111-1.7 of the CCU (collaboration, voluntary holding of a position by a citizen of Ukraine in unlawful law enforcement agencies established in the temporarily occupied territory) to the following ‘officials’ (surname, name, patronymic, date of birth):
